Fines to be levied:

Missing reffing (10 pounds per match): Lions, Phoenix, Uni (2 matches), Tigers (although an unqualified ref was used twice the CKA agreed that this should have been noticed after the first offence and therefore they will only be fined once)

 

In addition, Uni failed to provide sufficient notice of cancelling a match on two occasions. Against phoenix no notice was given (40 pound fine) and Lions were given less than the 72 hours notice required (Mike find out if Lions were able to use or cancel the hall to see if uni are to be fined again)

 

Rule 1.2.1.3 regarding fine for late notice to be updated to indicate that fine is only applicable if the home team is unable to cancel the hall after being notified. Action Scott

Press Reports: 2 articles on Lisa playing for GB and 2 articles on National League matches so still doing quite well.

 

CitySport: I'm sure everyone has seen the new brochure: please help in distributing it amongst team members.

 

 

Nick:

• Lions have accepted responsibility for fielding illegal team in P4 v L2 – walk-over to P4.
• Ionut to replace Ming in Uni 1 squad.
• Liv to replace Billy in Tigers 1 squad

 

Scott:

• It was agreed to update the rules to indicate that the CKA can take action following a match regardless of whether any yellow or red cards were issued. Action Scott
• It was agreed that the rules should be changed to allow the CKA to impose a ban longer than the 3 matches in the existing rules e.g. for violent conduct, Action Scott
• The rules are to be changed to add a ban for two yellow cards. The time period in which a ban will apply if two yellow cards are received is likely to be one calendar year but Andy agreed to check the BKA rules.
• It was agreed there would be no accumulation of yellow cards in the local league or national league i.e. only if two yellow cards were received in the local Cambridgeshire league would a ban apply.
• It was decided that yellow cards already received this season will not be included.
  
  
• In order to try and improve the standard of new referees, there will now be a compulsory practical session following passing of the theory exam. This could take place at a tournament or at another clubs training session but will last at least half an hour
• It will involve an existing experienced, qualified referee helping the new ref with their positioning and some feedback.
• Further monitoring sessions can be requested but are not compulsory
• Any referees that have already qualified but wish such a session can request one from the CKA
• Andy to provide a list of referees that would be suitable for running such a monitoring session

Nick has 8 spiked bases at his house that he would like to be stored elsewhere. Andy to ask Simon

Nick gave secretary’s file from Sam to Ian

Liv wants help with Histon festival. Stephen Davis is not available and wants a club to be responsible for organisation. Liv/Nick to email requirements to the committee.  Deadline to be set for finding club to be responsible.

 

Citysport should never be cancelled due to lack of numbers. If necessary a club should sign up some of its own players so it can go ahead. New players in each club should be asked directly whether they want to take part (rather than asking clubs to ask)
