CHAIRMAN:                                                                                                                            ACTIONS?

EKA will now allow the area CPO and/or another person to do CRB identity checks, if they are CRC checked via the BKA. Janine Collier has agreed to do this and I've emailed Nikki Lloyd, EKA CPO about this. Nikki has replied to say Janine can now do the identity checks.
Liv Armitage has resigned from the post of Junior Development Officer. I'm sure everyone will be sorry to see Liv step down and will join me in thanking her for all her efforts over the years, which have made a huge difference to junior korfball.

Need to fill vacant roles – Howard to send email to clubs.

Laura Blazey transferred from Manchester Warriors to Cambridge Tigers.
Tom Evans transferred from Vikings to Lions.

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT:

Currently I keep a check on the number and location of CKA posts and have set up a mini league which basically means each of the clubs/schools is responsible for running a mini tournament. These tournaments are on a one every two months basis. I have appointed coaches for the inter areas age groups – though I think we are struggling for a coach for the U11’s – and given guidelines for how the coaches and managers should proceed in the build up to each competition. Obviously I will still input into korfball (juniors especially) at club level at least and would be more than happy to help out a future post holder with specific tasks. I would also be happy to take the position on again in the future when I have more time – just in case a potential candidate is frightened that they will be never be able to hand on the baton to someone else. Another note to consider is that NYD is not being held in Cambridge this year. This is good in terms of workload, but it does mean that we need to sort out a coach to transport everyone down to Surrey or wherever it is.

Need volunteer to arrange coach for NYD in July.
