FIXTURES:

RESULTS:

SENIOR DEVELOPMENT (Vacant):

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT:

Invitations have been sent out to CKA clubs for entries to a junior league for the forthcoming season. Associated schools are also welcome to enter the league. A set of league rules was circulated with the invitations. So far, I have received no replies. Vikings would like to be part of a junior league for next season. Could all other teams respond by September the 20th if they want to enter the league, or please let me know if you do not want to enter the league.

I have been in contact with MK and Norfolk to try and organise inter-area multi-age group match days. The idea is to have U11, U13 and adult teams representing each area play against each other. MK are interested and would like to play in October. I have not yet heard from Norfolk.

REFEREEING:

Nothing to report.

COACHING (Vacant):

PUBLICITY (Vacant):

CPO (Vacant):

1. DEVELOPMENT PLAN PROGRESS

Junior

- junior development sub-committee – up and running
- junior league – planning to start this season
- involve parents – involve parents in training sessions.

Senior

- actively work to create new clubs – new club hasn't yet got off the ground. Finding volunteers is an issue. Suffolk council were helpful but finding hall time in Suffolk was difficult.

It was asked if the posts we lent to the school at Bury are still in use – Howard to email the teacher.
- expand the geographic base of the CKA – new club
- coaching courses – ran level 2 course in Cambridgeshire. Lions have 2 or 3 people for a level 1 course. Still demand for a level 2 course as some people couldn't make the dates of the last course. In future need to set and publicise course dates as early as possible.

- we will host the Counties tournament this year – had to be cancelled due to insufficient entries

Howard

2 LEAGUE STRUCTURE

Entries - City: 5 Lions: 3 Phoenix: 4 Tigers: 4 Uni: 2 Vikings: 5 - total 23 (24 last year)

The league structure will be 8/8/7 :
Div 1: T1, C1, C2, T2, L1, P1, U2, V1
Div 2: L2, T3,C3, V2, P2, T4, P3, C4
Div 3: L3, V3, C5, V4, U2, P4, V5

With 14 games per season in Div 1&2 and 12 games in Div 2.

(Adam) Dates - as normal I plan to start the league from the first weekend in October. I will communicate status periods once the format is known.

(Adam) In order to schedule around the SEERL div 2 - City 2 and Vikings 1 will need to play some of their pre-Christmas CKA league games mid- week (e.g. Tue/10/KK & Monday/9/ECC)

Any 'entire team' ref swaps e.g. V5 swap T3 please let Adam know.

3 EAST ANGLIAN SHIELD

Invitations to clubs sent. 6 entries so far, 2 NKA, 4 CKA, 0 SMKA. Competition will go ahead.

4 REFEREES

Shortage of referees, in particular EKA practically assessed.

An EKA referee assessor may attend the EA Shield to assess Q level to R (formerly C) level. Please let Andy R know if you'd like to be assessed. It probably will not be possibly to be assessed as a referee and play. Andy R to send email.

It was suggested that it might be helpful to have home team referees for division 3 matches and new referees. This was tried previously in the Development League. There is nothing in the league rules that says the referee must be neutral and can't be from the home team. Therefore is both teams agree this could be trialled.

Andy R

5 REGIONAL LEAGUE

The CKA clubs favour Multi Game Venue (MGV) triangular fixtures for division 2. Howard to email Phil Buttinger and other areas. Clubs to also email Phil B.

It was felt that an entry fee was not necessary, particularly for division 2, and that £100 was far too high. Any entry fee should be justified by a budget.

6 ONCE PROJECT

Marvin Symes, Development Worker, from the CP Learning Trust has contacted the CKA to ask if we would like to run some korfball sessions. Some limited funding is available. See attached. Clubs to contact Marvin directly if interested.

NEXT MEETING

October ?, TBD once fixtures are known.

AOB:

Hannah Brown (Vikings) U18 was approved to play in the CK.
