ACTIONS FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS:

Corinne to average the cost of hall time for the Division 3 3rd fixtures across all teams and invoice clubs – still to do.



Uni and Phoenix to email Andy to arrange refereeing theory test – Phoenix date set, venue TBD, Uni still to do.



Andy to assess Simon Ball again – Simon still too busy at present.



Chris West to raise CKA awards with the junior development sub-committee. Need to define awards. Try again for next season



Howard to see that CKL rules on referee CRB checks will be amended as necessary at the AGM - done.



City to propose CKL rules changes to AGM for postponement of matches involving players on international duty - done.

Accounts attached. East Anglian Cup fees all collected. Nothing further to report.


FIXTURES:

Adam to approach Norwich Knights to get their agreement to withdraw second team from EA Cup in order to increase game time for everyone. City already agreed to this. Phoenix to provide bibs, balls etc.

SENIOR DEVELOPMENT:

A number of ideas were discussed. Gary will form a sub-committee consisting of Development Officers from each club to develop specific ideas and report back to the CKA.

COACHING (Vacant):

Gary is in discussions with Dave Buckland to run a coaching course in Cambridge, possibly over multiple weekends. Gary needs to pin down a date and get a hall booked.

1. JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT

- organise tournament days with adhoc teams if necessary. Clubs with junior sections to do this in rotation. Planning to have regular tournaments, one or two a term, working towards a junior league.

- CKA awards – didn't do in time for last season, try again this season.

3. LEAGUE STRUCTURE

The entries for this year are:

* City - 5 teams

* Lions - 2 teams

* Phoenix: 5 teams (5th team will be development)

* Tigers: 5 Teams (5th team will be development)

* Uni: 2 teams

* Vikings: 4 teams

(Note teams can become development at any time, the development references above were provided by teams entering)

Which is 23 teams (2 up from last year).



League structure of 7-8-8 agreed for Div 1-2-3.
























4. LEAGUE START DATE

Games will start Sunday 30 September; Adam to try to schedule fixtures to allow for a later start for Uni and Lions 2

5. CKA 20TH BIRTHDAY TOURNAMENT

Lions confirmed interest in hosting this. Gary will advise of dates for 2013 that don’t clash with other established tournaments; Lions to book the venue. Suggested to make it 1 day rather than 2 days and make it a Saturday, to allow for entertainment in the evening. It was also agreed that every CKA club (excluding Uni) would try to field 2 teams.

6. NEW CLUB IN COLCHESTER

All clubs to contact members to see if they know anyone close to Colchester who can help out at taster sessions etc. All clubs to see if they can offer spare equipment.

Lions requested CKA meetings to occasionally be held in Ely or Littleport. Howard will consider this given scheduling around club training / match nights.
