on all policies and their implementation - still to do.

Mark Wilson

Howard to create a GDPR policy for the CKA - done.

Phil to get in touch with Carla Bennett about veteran's match - no longer relevant at the moment.

Phil/Howard to sort out transport of poles for Joe Stirling for club at Comberton secondary school - done.

Phil to keep record/receipt in account to document where equipment is - Howard created a receipt of the posts which Joe signed.

We are still waiting for the play-off money from Uni - now paid

Annalie Barker to look into possible dates for referee theory course before Christmas - unlikely to happen by Christmas.

REPORTS

ACTIONS?

CHAIRPERSON:

EKA AGM is in Cambridge again in Feb.

Sad news of Frank Sieber’s illness and passing. During his illness there was an appeal for someone to organise refs for SERL, as they are currently only allocated up to Christmas. No volunteers came forward. CKA is not set up to easily assign refs for local SERL matches, responsibilities are the clubs’ - no central system to apply to this situation. Agreed to delegate to clubs (City & Tigers) to arrange refs for their own fixtures.

SECRETARY:

Nothing to report.

TREASURER:

(Howard) think the 2019 accounts are now complete - possibly just the engraving of the shields to be paid for. It seems they have been engraved but not sure if they have been paid for. Howard has emailed to check who has the shields and whether they have been engraved.

FIXTURES:

Nothing to report.

RESULTS:

Nothing to report.

SENIOR DEVELOPMENT:

Senior inter-area is Saturday 16th May 2020 in Nottingham - would be really good to get a team. Howard to email out, clubs to target possible organisers. Need to check if there is an age minimum.

December 7th - Senior squad trials - Trinity school, Croydon.

Howard

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT:

Liv is helping out at Milton Road, they have a lot of players but not making it to U11s tournaments because of teacher commitments.

U14s NL has been a bit frustrating - Vikings have entered a team but are not contributing to reffing, or communicating with Liv. Hoping for improvement. Extra work for Liv.

Need numbers for junior inter-area - date is 18-19 January. Clubs to reply. Liv to let Howard and Phil know number of teams for payment.

REFEREEING (vacant):

People have noticed that Jack at Uni is a great ref, would be good to offer to help develop him. He might be able to get ‘R’ qualified already. Liv thinks Chris West will be in touch with him. Might not have the support he would get at other clubs at Uni as they don’t have other refs. (Some of the Uni coaches are training with City so they get to train and develop too.)

COACHING (Vacant):

Level 2 course, see below.

PUBLICITY:

I've been mostly focused on Facebook and Twitter. Still need to reach out to the clubs to discuss publicity with them. I'd like to make simple changes to the website, but I'm having issues editing the files. Can tweak individual files and send back to update. Question over live stream videos and under age players, but think this is covered by the underage player forms.

CHILD PROTECTION:

Been chased by EKA to have DBS check - will liaise to find out what is required - may be able to use an existing one. Mark to provide copy of check to Howard once agreed with EKA.

Mark

Liv to provide Howard with a copy of her DBS certificate, and those of anyone regularly coaching on behalf of CKA.

Liv

1. LEVEL 2 COACHING COURSE

Email from EKA with interest to possibly run a local level 2 course. Howard has fed back that outside of the season is likely to be more popular and hall time might be more possible - although will still be difficult.

Tigers will have at least 3 (probably more), Phoenix at least 1. City - not sure, have had a couple of people do it recently. Would be open to people from other areas too.

Howard to respond to EKA.

Howard

2. GDPR POLICY

Discussion of names in results and on the website, think this falls outside the policy. Don’t think we need a Data Protection Officer.

Retention of score cards guidance should be included in the briefing doc for ref’s - Howard to add.

Approved, Howard to add to add to website.
